Ruth Gebremehdin, NYU
Ruth Gebremedhin is a fifth year Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering. She completed her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi in 2020 and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at NYU Tandon in 2022. She does research in the physical layer for wireless communication as part of the NYU Wireless center where she is advised by Prof. Thomas L. Marzetta.
Her research focuses on the physics of communication theory. She is interested in wave propagation, electromagnetics, information theory, and research frontiers such as thermal and molecular communication. She previously worked on virtual reality and haptic feedback for telepresence and teleoperation.
