Nitish Vikas Deshpande, University of California San Diego
Ph.D., Electrical and Computer Engineering
Nitish Vikas Deshpande (Student Member, IEEE) is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California San Diego. He is a graduate student researcher in Wireless Systems and Innovation Lab (WSIL) under the supervision of Prof. Robert W. Heath Jr. He received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India in 2021 and the M.S degree from North Carolina State University in 2023. In 2022 and 2023, he interned in the Radio Systems Research department at Nokia Bell Labs where he received the Outstanding Student Research Award.
His current research interest is analyzing and designing wireless communication systems, focusing on wideband, large-array, and reconfigurable antenna-based MIMO systems. His research work involves applying a physically consistent circuit theory approach to model communication systems, bridging the gap between EM theory and information theory.
