Davide Villa received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2015, and his M.S. in Embedded Computing Systems from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2018. He worked as a Research Scientist in the Embedded Systems and Network Group at United Technologies Research Center in Cork, Ireland, from 2018 to 2020, and interned at Samsung Research America in the summer of 2024. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things at Northeastern University in Boston, USA. His research interests include 5G and beyond cellular networks, channel characterization for wireless systems, O-RAN, and software-defined networking for experimental wireless testbeds.
