Deputy Assistant Secretary Morris will discuss the 6G Request for Comments (RFC) NTIA published this summer and will provide some early takeaways from the more than 40 comments received from across industry, academia, and civil society. She will discuss the importance of U.S. government support for cutting-edge 6G R&D and workforce development, domestic private sector leadership in global 6G standardization bodies, and international collaboration with our likeminded partners on 6G. Using these tools, we can help ensure 6G is secure, resilient, and open and interoperable by on Day 1. The 6G RFC represents just a portion of NTIA’s larger effort to support leadership in 6G research, development, standardization, and deployment by American and partner countries’ technology and telecommunications industries.
